The car ride, the layup line, the timeout huddle, the snack after. The routine is what changes most from one season to the next.

How to shoot it
  1. Step 1

The layup line is your close-up

During warm-ups they run the same layup line again and again. That’s ten tries at one shot. Take them from the front row near the baseline, not the floor, and keep an eye out for loose balls.

  2. Step 2

The car, the huddle, the snack

One frame in the car on the way, one of the timeout huddle from behind the bench, one of the snack after. Take it parked, or hand the phone to whoever isn’t driving.
