Safety at ClutchSnap
Effective: September 7, 2026. Last updated: September 27, 2026
ClutchSnap is built for families. Here's how we keep kids safe, and how you can help.
For Parents
Your child's privacy is protected by default
New player profiles are private automatically, and profiles and photos stay private to your own account. Sharing beyond your account (in a private family story you approve, to a team gallery, to followers you approve, or by letting people find the profile) starts only when you turn it on. You can turn sharing back off at any time.
You control who sees what
You choose exactly how far each photo, video, and profile travels: private to your family, shared in a private family story or to your team's private gallery (visible to that team's families and staff), or, if you choose, discoverable, or viewable by anyone you send the profile link to. A family story opens through a random link, expires after 30 days, and stops working sooner if you remove that recipient. The name on the profile is the one you typed, so you decide how much of your child's name it carries. New profile links use random addresses by default.
Private sharing with family you invite
Want grandparents or close family friends to follow your child's season? Send them a private follow invitation. Every follower must be approved by you, you can see who follows your child, and you can remove a follower or revoke an invitation at any time. Nothing about inviting family makes your child's profile public.
No open comments, no strangers
There are no public comment threads on ClutchSnap. On your child's profile, only followers you've approved can react. In a team gallery, the team's families and staff can react to shared photos. Written notes on a photo can only be added by you, the parent. Anyone signed in can report a photo or video. The post disappears for you right away. A post reported as unsafe for a child is hidden at once. A phone that already has the photo or video can still show it for up to a day. The parent who uploaded it keeps their own copy, the same as they can see it signed in. It stays hidden unless the report turns out to be a mistake.
No ads, no tracking, no data selling
ClutchSnap does not display third-party advertising, use tracking cookies, or sell your family's personal information. We keep you signed in using your browser's own storage, not a cookie. The one cookie we set is for the age check when you create an account. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
For Teams & Team Staff
Consent comes first
Teams ask each family for consent for their child, and you see exactly what you're agreeing to: photos and videos may be taken at games and added to the team's private gallery. You can decline or take consent back at any time, and any parent can ask us to remove a photo of their child from the team gallery. A team gallery is visible to that team's families and staff, and to us when someone reports a photo in it.
Named, accountable uploaders
Coaches and photographers join a team by name, through invitations only the team owner can send. Nobody adds photos anonymously: every photo and video shows who added it. Every photo is checked for sexual or violent content before anyone else can see it, anyone signed in can report one, and a team owner can remove a staff member's access with one tap.
Secure storage and access controls
Photos and videos are encrypted on the way to us and while we store them. A team's photos and videos can be opened by that team's families and staff. We review our security regularly. See our Security summary.
