Where to sit: center, facing the mat
A routine is built to face the judges. Sit near the middle of the stands, on the judges’ side.

Sit on the judges’ side
A competition routine faces the judges’ table. From the side you see the backs of stunts. From the middle of the stands behind the judges, you see faces.
- Step 2
At games, sit in front of the squad
Sideline cheer faces the crowd. Sit a few rows up, in front of where the squad stands, and they cheer toward you.
- Step 3
Arena light fools the phone
A bright mat and dark stands make the phone wash out the squad. Tap your cheerleader and hold to lock the exposure.
Pro tip
Sit where the judges sit. The routine is built for that view.
