SIDELINE SCHOOL
Where to stand: ahead of the play
Stand ten yards downfield of the ball, and the play runs toward you.
How to shoot it
- Step 1
Get ahead of the line
Behind the play you shoot numbers and backs. Move along the fence or the bleachers so you’re ten yards ahead of the ball, and the runner comes at you, face first. Stay behind the fence or the rope: players run out of bounds at full speed.
- Step 2
Near the goal line, go to the end zone
Inside the twenty, move along the fence toward the end zone. Touchdowns, celebrations and goal-line stands all happen there, facing you.
- Step 3
Night games need help
Under stadium lights a phone struggles. Hold burst, keep the flash off (it won’t reach the field), and tap a player to lock the exposure so the lights don’t darken everyone.
Pro tip
Ten yards ahead of the ball. Move with every new set of downs.
