SIDELINE SCHOOL
Portrait: a media-day hero in 90 seconds
Team suit or uniform, plain background, chest height. One every season, and the difference between them is the story.
How to shoot it
- Step 1
Plain background, even light, chest height
A wall, a fence, an empty stand. Open shade, not noon sun. Hold the phone at their chest so the uniform reads square.
- Step 2
Leave space around them
Leave room to crop on every side, and don’t crop tight when you shoot. Choose Full Quality when you add it.
- Step 3
Take three: hero, race face, the real grin
One serious, one focused, one laughing. Wet hair, chalked hands and a medal round the neck all belong in it. The grin is the one you’ll frame.
Pro tip
One portrait every season, the same pose. The difference is the story.
