How to shoot it
- Step 1
Other children aren’t extras
A group number or a class photo has other kids in it. That’s fine in your private gallery. Before you share one with the group, ask yourself whether their parent would be glad to see it.
- Step 2
The teacher’s word
The hug after, the nod in the wings, the last correction. Shoot from a distance and let it happen.
- Step 3
Family in the lobby
Grandparents with flowers, siblings in their good clothes, you. Hand someone the phone after the show and get in the frame.
