Action: the top of the jump

The serve, the set, the dig, the spike, the block. Every jump has a moment where nothing moves.

How to shoot it
  1. Step 1

Shoot the peak of the spike

At the top of a spike the hitter hangs for a moment, arm back, eyes on the ball. Start the burst on the approach and hold it through contact.

  2. Step 2

The serve toss is your easiest frame

Every serve starts the same way, so you get several tries a match. Frame them before the toss and burst as the ball goes up.

  3. Step 3

    Digs happen low

For a libero or a back-row player, the photo is the dive for the ball. Sit low and shoot from the side when the other team is attacking.
