SIDELINE SCHOOL
Where to sit: across the net, at the corner
Sit on the far side from your kid’s team, near a corner, and you shoot their face through the net.
How to shoot it
- Step 1
Shoot from the other side of the net
From your own team’s side you see backs. From the opposite corner you see the hitter rise, face to the camera. The net looks fine when the focus is on the player.
- Step 2
Sit low and move each set
Teams switch sides after each set, so move with them. Pick a seat low in the bleachers, so the hitter is above you at the top of the jump.
- Step 3
Gym light needs help
Hold burst through the play and keep the flash off. Tap your player to lock the exposure, so bright windows don’t darken the court.
Pro tip
Across the net, near the corner. Move with them each set.
